Lobbyists

Search/View Registered Lobbyists

The public may access records of persons currently and formerly registered to lobby the City of Tallahassee municipal government by using the below search portal.  Detail records are available for the previous six years and summary records are available back to the program’s inception in the Spring 2011.

Lobbyist Registration

Notice: Pursuant to Ordinance 22-O-22, adopted on September 7, 2022, the Lobbyist Registration Process has been amended, effective for the 2023 registration year. New registration forms are available below for use beginning January 1, 2023. Any registration for the 2023 cycle must be submitted using the new 2023 forms. Effective for the 2023 cycle, the annual registration fee is $500 per lobbyist. Registration does not become effective until all fees have been paid.

The following Rules & Regulations supplement the above ordinance.

Compensation Reports have been repealed by Ordinance 22-O-22. Therefore, registered lobbying firms are only required to submit a 2022 Quarter 3 report for the reporting period which concluded on September 30, 2022. No compensation reports for activity from October 1, 2022 onward are required.

Payments by check may be mailed to the address on the form or delivered in person to the Treasurer-Clerk Records Division. Credit and debit cards are not accepted at this time. Cash payments may be made in person at the Revenue Office located at 400 North Macomb Street (the Renaissance Center) or at the Treasurer-Clerk Records Division, City Hall, 300 S Adams Street. Please do not mail cash.

Completed forms may scanned and emailed to the email address on the form. All forms are in PDF format. Contact our office if you wish to fax any documents.

How to Submit a Complaint

Suspected violations of the Lobbyist Registration Ordinance may be reported to the City Treasurer-Clerk by completing and submitting a Complaint Form. Complaints will be addressed by the City Treasurer-Clerk per Sec. 2-344 of the Code of General Ordinances.

From time to time, the City of Tallahassee hires lobbyists to represent the City government before the Legislature and/or Congress. Information on these contract lobbyists may be accessed using the below portal.
