National Child Passenger Safety Technician Month
May 22, 2017
The Tallahassee Police Department, Safe Kids Worldwide and local State Farm Agent Bill Reardon are teaming up to ensure our most precious cargo is safe as we approach the Memorial Day Holiday. We are also recognizing that the month of May is National Child Passenger Safety Technician Month. On May 24, 2017 technicians will be inspecting child safety seats to verify they are properly installed. This is a community service event to promote awareness and to educate our citizens on the hazards of an improperly installed car seat. Florida law requires that all children six years of age or younger ride in a federally approved child restraint device to provide protection for the child.
