TPD Responds to Auto Burglary on Green Timbers Trail

Tallahassee Police officers responded to an auto burglary on Green Timbers Trail last night after an observant citizen called to provide a detailed suspect description. The citizen gave officers information on the suspect's actions to include him looking in vehicles and opening vehicle doors. Officers were able to locate the suspect exiting a Dodge sedan which they quickly determined did not belong to the suspect. The helpful witness also saw the suspect inside of a Honda Civic belonging to another resident in the area.
Officers conducted a thorough investigation on scene and established the suspect, Keishad Stroman, had been walking in the area with a flashlight, looking in vehicles, and trying to open vehicle doors. Mr. Stroman was arrested after officers determined he was responsible for two vehicle burglaries and one attempted vehicle burglary on Green Timbers Trail. Mr. Stroman was charged with two counts of auto burglary, attempted auto burglary, possession of burglary tools, and petit theft.
This case has been assigned to the Property Crimes Task Force for additional follow up. The Property Crimes Task Force is a joint task force utilizing TPD investigators and LCSO detectives working together to investigate the numerous property crimes in our community. - 2 counts of Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance pursuant to Florida Statute 810.02(4)(b)
- Attempted Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance pursuant to Florida Statue 810.02(4)(b)
- Possession of Burglary Tools pursuant to Florida Statute 810.06
- Petit Theft 2nd Offense pursuant to Florida Statute 812.014(3)(b)
