TPD Investigate Shooting

As the investigation continues into Sunday morning’s shooting, TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit investigators have obtained more information which can be released about the incident. The initial investigation has revealed the shooting occurred in the area of the parking lot of 2020 West Pensacola Street. The 16 year old victim said he was in the parking lot when he heard gunshots and was then struck in the foot by a bullet.
TPD believes there were other vehicles in the parking lot at the time, whose occupants may have witnessed the shooting. TPD is asking anyone who wishes to help but does not want to provide their name, to please call Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS. Crime Stoppers does not want your name, only your information. The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting which is believed to have occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning. TPD was called to a local hospital after the victim arrived at the emergency room to report the non-life threatening injury.
Tallahassee Police Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, but did not speak with an officer or anyone with information about the shooting to please call (850) 891-4200. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
