Person Arrested in Connection to Stolen Phones

The Tallahassee Police has arrested Patrick Grant in connection with a rash of stolen cell phones from local bars and hiding them in his socks. After receiving information about a suspect stealing cell phones from the establishments, TPD conducted surveillance at The Standard On College on October 5, 2107. To the casual observer, it appeared Mr. Grant was a simply a patron of the bar- dancing, buying drinks and using the restroom. In reality, Mr. Grant was using the bathroom to conceal the stolen cell phones in his socks. At the time of his arrest, three (3) cell phones were located in his right sock and three (3) phones were found in his left sock, all stolen from patrons of the club.
Mr. Grant was placed under arrest for several outstanding warrants, as well as the above mentioned cell phones and transported to the Leon County jail without incident. Please note the report has been redacted per Florida Statute 119.071(2)(e) and 119.071(5)(a).
