TPD Makes Arrest in a Battery on a Security Officer at Local Apartment Complex

Due to an intense and thorough investigation by the Violent Crimes Unit, the Tallahassee Police Department has made an arrest in a battery investigation. The incident occurred at Aqua Palms Apartments, 1600 Old Bainbridge Road, on April 1, 2018 at 6:18 p.m. and involved a uniformed security officer employed by S3 Security. The security officer had been instructed to help disperse an unauthorized party at the apartment pool. While doing so, the security officer was battered by three black male suspects.
After posting a video of the incident on the Tallahassee Police Department’s social media pages requesting the community’s help identifying the suspects, numerous tips were received. Investigators were able to develop information on one of the suspects which led to the arrest of Tray’join D. Culver. Mr. Culver was arrested Tuesday evening by officers and transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing.
