Arrest Made on West Tennessee

Late last night, Tallahassee Police officers responded to a disturbance in the 2500 block of West Tennessee Street. When officers arrived they were informed a fight between two people just occurred and obtained information regarding the suspect. Officers located a person matching the suspect description in a nearby parking lot and attempted to speak to him, but he ran from the area. After a brief foot pursuit, Jaquawan Clark was arrested and found to be in possession of a .45 caliber handgun which he tried to toss away from him while he ran from officers. The firearm was previously reported stolen during an auto burglary which occurred in May 2019.
After reviewing the evidence, Mr. Clark, who is classified as a Florida Delinquent due to a felony criminal conviction sustained as a juvenile, was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Florida Delinquent. Mr. Clark was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility for processing.

Tampering with Evidence pursuant to Florida Statute 918.13.
