Investigation Into Shooting Leads to Manslaughter Arrest

On June 24, the Tallahassee Police Department received information from the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office concerning a homicide that occurred in Tallahassee. According to a witness, a shooting occurred in a townhouse on Pullen Road that had not yet been reported.
A search warrant for the target location was obtained, and a follow-up investigation ensued. The investigation uncovered details of a shooting that transpired in the early morning hours of June 24 and led investigators to a body in Gadsden County.
Rohn Vause was identified as a suspect and taken into custody. He is being charged with Manslaughter, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with additional charges pending. The victim is an adult male.
The Tallahassee Police Department would like to thank the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office and the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in furthering this case.
Although an arrest has been made, elements of this case are still open. Tallahassee Police Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the shooting to please call 850-891-4200.
