Tallahassee Police Arrest Convicted Felon in Shooting Incident
July 20, 2020
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, TPD responded to the 2100 block of Main Street to investigate a report of a shooting.
The adult male victim told police he had been walking down Main Street when the suspect exited a residence and fired a shotgun into the air. The suspect then pointed the shotgun at the victim and fired two more times. The victim was not struck and immediately fled.
Officers arrived at the scene, took the suspect into custody, and recovered the firearm. The shooting appeared to stem from a fight, which occurred at a party earlier in the evening, between the two individuals.
Police arrested Marlowe Powell, 41, and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
