Arrest Made in South Adams Street Homicide
July 27, 2020
On July 24, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to the apartments at 3025 South Adams Street to investigate a homicide.
After working diligently through the weekend reviewing evidence and conducting interviews, investigators were able to develop Jacob Davis, 22, as a suspect. It appears the homicide resulted from a robbery attempt, which occurred during a narcotics transaction. Further investigation revealed that he had fled the Tallahassee area to Houston County, Alabama.
TPD investigators traveled to Houston County and coordinated with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office to bring Davis in for questioning. At the conclusion of the interview, Davis was arrested.
Davis is still in custody in Alabama awaiting extradition back to Florida to face charges of felony murder and armed robbery. At this time, elements of this case are still open, and additional arrests and charges may be forthcoming.
TPD would like to thank the Houston County Sheriff’s Office for their invaluable assistance in this case.
