Tallahassee Police Investigate Shooting Near Rumba Lane

Around 6:45 p.m. on July 28, officers responded to the area of Rumba Lane to investigate a report that two men were shooting guns in the area. Officers rushed to the scene but were unable to locate any victims or evidence of a shooting.
Minutes later, a report of a traffic crash came in at the intersection of Gadsden Street and Seventh Avenue. Officers discovered the two adult male occupants of the vehicle suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Although the crash involved another vehicle, no injuries resulted from the crash.
The two victims in this case gave conflicting statements about the event, and the exact scene could not be established.
Tallahassee Police Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the shooting to please call 850-891-4200. They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS.
