Tallahassee Police Charge Two Additional Suspects in Recent Homicide Cases
July 29, 2020
Diligent work and coordination with area law enforcement partners has resulted in additional suspects being taken into custody for their participation in recent homicides.
On June 24, the Tallahassee Police Department received information from the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office that an unreported homicide had occurred in Tallahassee, which led investigators to the remains in Gadsden County. Investigators developed Rohn Vause, 38, as the primary suspect in that case, and he was taken into custody on numerous felony charges including manslaughter.
Continuing investigation revealed he had assistance in the transportation and burial of the victim’s remains, and Thomas Bryant, 20, was identified as the person who assisted Vause.
Bryant was arrested today in Marianna by members of TPD’s Career Criminal Unit, which is part of the U.S. Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force, on charges of accessory after the fact/first degree felony and mishandling of human remains. He is awaiting extradition to Tallahassee from Marianna.
Arrested: Thomas J. Bryant, 20.
On July 24, TPD responded to a homicide at 3025 South Adams Street. With the assistance of the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, investigators were able to charge Jacob Davis, 22, in that crime.
Investigators identified a second suspect at the same time but were unable to immediately file charges on him. He was taken into custody in Coffee County, Alabama, by the Enterprise Police Department on local warrants the same day Davis was arrested in Houston County. Through continued efforts, TPD investigators were able to charge Zatoriyan Gould, 20, with felony murder and armed robbery. He is awaiting extradition to Florida from Alabama at this time.
Arrested: Zatoriyan J. Gould, 20.
