TPD Makes Drug Arrest Following Crime Stoppers Tip

Thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip, the Tallahassee Police Department arrested a convicted felon and seized a variety of narcotics and a firearm.
The tip led TPD's Special Investigations Section to investigate the sale of narcotics at the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, located at 522 Silver Slipper Lane. Investigators were able to identify a suspect, who had numerous active warrants.
Working in conjunction with TPD's Patrol Bureau, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving the area. Officers arrested Monterrious Scott, who was in the vehicle, for the outstanding warrants.
Scott was found to be carrying numerous rocks of crack cocaine and more than $700 in cash. During a search of the vehicle, investigators found a stolen Glock 19X 9mm handgun loaded with a full magazine, an extended 33 round 9mm magazine fully loaded, three grams of powder cocaine, 18 individual baggies containing Alpha-PVP and several articles of drug paraphernalia.
Scott was transported to the Leon County Detention Facility without incident.
