TFD Saves Home in Woodville
March 11, 2021
At 8:35 p.m. on March 10, the Consolidated Dispatch Agency received a call reporting a fire on the 8000 block of Freedom Road in Woodville. This was the third local building fire of the day.
Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) crews from the Woodville station arrived on scene less than five minutes after the call was received. The first arriving unit reported a large shop fully involved in fire. The fire was beginning to reach the adjacent residential structure, but crews were able to quickly prevent the fire from spreading.
While the shop was a complete loss, the home was saved, and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
TFD was assisted on scene by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and Leon County EMS.
