City Service Changes for Memorial Day Holiday
May 24, 2017
The City of Tallahassee's administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Following are schedule changes for the week of May 28 through June 3 for solid waste customers living inside the Tallahassee city limits, StarMetro, the Tallahassee-Leon Community Animal Service Center and City-run community centers.
Solid Waste Schedule Changes
During the holiday week, all residential customers will receive service one day later than their regularly scheduled service. This includes garbage / recycling and yard waste / bulky pickup, which will impact blue week customers:
- Monday customers - Tuesday, May 30
- Tuesday customers - Wednesday, May 31
- Wednesday customers - Thursday, June 1
- Thursday customers - Friday, June 2
- Friday customers - Saturday, June 3
Garbage and recycling containers should both be rolled to the curb for pickup by 6:30 a.m. on collection day, with both containers returned to the home no later than the day after collection. Customers are reminded to separate yard waste piles from any bulky items set out for pickup. Customers needing more information may view solid waste schedules at Talgov.com/YOU or contact City of Tallahassee Utilities at 891-4YOU (4968).

The cut off for scheduling a DAR/CTC trip for Sunday, May 28, or Monday, May 29, is Friday, May 26, at 2 p.m.
