Applications Open for Participation in MLK Day Commemoration Events
Parade and Festivities to Be Held Jan. 16

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his life to the pursuit of social justice and equality. To honor his life and legacy, the City of Tallahassee will host a day-long celebration on Jan. 16, 2023, including the MLK Day Parade, Day of Dialogue and MLK Day Festival. The parade will take place along North Monroe Street prior to the festival in Cascades Park.
The City of Tallahassee is now accepting applications to participate in the day's events. Organizations interested can apply as a parade participant or festival vendor at Talgov.com/MLKParade. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023. There is no fee to participate in the parade. For more information, call 850-891-8295.
