Customers may purchase passes at C.K. Steele Plaza, located at 111 W. Tennessee Street, and StarMetro's administrative offices, located at 555 Appleyard Drive. Purchases
much be made in cash but change is available.
Transfer Policy
Transfers are FREE with each one-way fare purchase and are valid for 90 minutes from the time of issue. Transfers are not valid for travel in either direction of the route origin. A transfer ticket may be used for up to two transfers within the allotted 90-minutes time and may be used at any location where two of more routes intersect, where two of more routes run parallel or where customers may walk between routes.
StarMetro Prepaid Fare Options
31-Day StarCard, Buy. Ride. Reload. Online Fare Purchase - StarMetro offers the StarCard, a new and easy way to purchase your fare card online with a credit card.
The StarCard works the same as a normal StarMetro fare card; the only difference is the way in which customers are able to purchase it. The StarCard purchased online must be a 31-day fare card and riders will be able to reload the card each month either manually or automatically. The StarCard provides riders a way to purchase their fare cards without having to wait in line at one of our two purchasing locations and without worrying about carrying cash.
StarMetro Scratch-Off Tickets - The scratch-off cards come in seven day unlimited and seven day reduced fares. To validate these cards, customers just scratch off the silver foil to indicate which month and seven consecutive days in which the fare card is to be used.
With the scratch-off card, customers may purchase multiple cards at a time, but not validate those cards until they are ready to be used.
These scratch-off cards can be purchased Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the following locations:
Additionally, customers may purchase scratch-off fare cards on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jack McLean Community Center.
The seven day unlimited scratch-off card costs $10.00 and the seven day reduced fare card costs $7.50. Customers must have exact change when purchasing their fare card.
