Purchase a Bus Pass

Find My Bus in Real-Time!

Exact change is requested when paying on a bus. Change for cash transactions will be issued as a Change Card for use on StarMetro fare only. Customers may purchase digital bus passes on their smartphone using the Token Transit app. Seven-day and 31-day paper bus passes may be purchased in person at the C.K. Steele Bus Plaza, 111 W. Tennessee St. (view map) and the StarMetro Administrative Office, 555 S. Appleyard Drive (view map). In-person payments at the C.K. Steele Bus Plaza and the StarMetro Administrative Office can be made with cash or a debit/credit card.+

Note: TCC students may purchase discounted bus passes per semester at TCC Office of the Registrar.

Reduced fare is for seniors 60 years or older, people with disabilities and people with a Medicare card. Reduced fare purchases must have a StarMetro issued reduced fare card or show proof upon single purchase. For information on Human Service Agency reduced bulk pass purchases, please review this document or contact StarMetroPasses@Talgov.com. To ride a StarMetro bus, children in 5th grade (10 years old) or younger must be accompanied by a 6th grade or older sibling, legal guardian, or parental designee.

Transfer Policy

Transfers are FREE with each one-way fare purchase and are valid for 90 minutes from the time of issue. Transfers are not valid for travel in either direction of the route of origin. A transfer ticket may be used for up to two transfers within the allotted 90-minute time and may be used at any location where two or more routes intersect, where two or more routes run parallel or where customers may walk between routes.

  • Installed at C.K. Steele Bus Plaza, this self-service machine allows you to purchase new one way & all day tickets, 7-day and 31-day Smart Cards AND reload or add value to existing Smart Cards, including Reduced Fare.

  • This upgraded online purchase system allows you to register your Smart Cards in case of damage or theft, order new cards or reload value to existing cards.

Mobile App/Moovit

Moovit App
  • This all in one - plan, purchase, track and swipe app – gives you instant access to multiple transportation options. Purchase your daily, weekly or monthly passes and swipe the QR code for faster on-boarding while also getting real time updates and communications delivered directly to your phone.

Reduced Fare

All reduced fare purchases at TVM, eFare or Moovit must be made through a pre-approved "reduced fare" account set up by StarMetro. To submit your request and documentation for reduced fare, please email StarMetro.customerservice@talgov.com or visit the Information Booth at C.K. Steele Bus Plaza or Appleyard Office. Once account is set up, proceed to purchase options.

Special Passes

  • Human Service Agency Bulk Pass Program:
  • Eligible agencies can purchase directly from the Information Booth, email request to Starmetropasses@talgov.com.

Veterans Pass

  • New - Must apply through the Leon County Veterans Service.
  • Renew - Go to the C.K. Steele Bus Plaza Information Booth or 555 Appleyard Drive 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday-Friday, with your current veteran’s card to get it exchanged for a new one. The C.K. Steele Bus Plaza Information Booth will set up initial account in the system.

Pink Card Holders

  • Go to the C.K. Steele Bus Plaza Information Booth or 555 Appleyard Drive 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday-Friday, with your old pink card, filled out with authorized signature and cardholder signature to get it exchanged for Smart Card. The C.K. Steele Bus Plaza Information Booth will set up initial account in the system.

K-12/STAR Card

  • Visit The STAR program

Honored Citizen/VIP Cards

  • New - Must apply through Information Booth with proof of age/VIP information.
  • Renew - Go to the C.K. Steele Bus Plaza Information Booth or 555 Appleyard Drive 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., Monday-Friday, with your old VIP/Honor citizen hard to get it exchanged for a new one. The C.K. Steele Bus Plaza Information Booth will set up initial account in the system.
